The mission kept on the microSD card could not be saved
What ArduPilot says:
- Mission storage failed
- Mission storage OK
With BRD_SD_MISSION or BRD_SD_FENCE above 0, the mission or the fence is kept in a file on the microSD card instead of the small built-in storage, to make room for many more items. Changes are written to the file 1 KB at a time. “Mission storage failed” means a write did not work; ArduPilot tries again every 2 seconds and says “Mission storage OK” when it succeeds. Until then the mission in memory is right, but the copy on the card is old: a reboot would bring the old one back.
What to do, most likely first
The card was removed, is full, or is failing.
CheckIs logging also failing (“Logging failed”)? Then it is the card.
FixFix or replace the card, reboot, then upload the mission and the fence again and read them back before flying.
Do not start a mission while this is unresolved: after a reset in flight the aircraft would load whatever the card last held.
