Mid-stick cruise throttle is on, but the throttle trim is not in the middle
What ArduPilot says:
- PreArm: Throttle trim not near center stick(N)
FLIGHT_OPTIONS bit 10 is set: in the modes where you move the throttle yourself (all but MANUAL), the middle of the stick then gives TRIM_THROTTLE, the cruise throttle. For that ArduPilot must know where the middle is: the throttle channel's RCn_TRIM has to lie between 1250 and 1750 µs. The number in the message is the trim it found, usually near 1000, because a radio calibration leaves the throttle trim at the bottom of the stick.
What to do, most likely first
The option was switched on, and the throttle trim is still at the stick's lowest position.
Check
RC3_TRIM(the channelRCMAP_THROTTLEnames, 3 by default) is close toRC3_MIN.FixHold the throttle stick in the middle, read the value in the Radio Calibration screen and write it to
RC3_TRIM(about 1500).The option came with a parameter file from another plane and you do not want it.
CheckIn
FLIGHT_OPTIONSbit 10 has the value 1024.FixClear bit 10: subtract 1024 from
FLIGHT_OPTIONS. The throttle stick then works from the bottom up, as on any model.
Parameters to look at
| Parameter | What it is |
|---|---|
FLIGHT_OPTIONS | Flight mode options |
RC3_TRIM | RC trim PWM |
RC3_MIN | RC min PWM |
RC3_MAX | RC max PWM |
TRIM_THROTTLE | Throttle cruise percentage |
