The VTOL takeoff was abandoned: airspeed above the takeoff limit
What ArduPilot says:
- Failed to complete takeoff, excessive wind
During an automatic VTOL takeoff the airspeed sensor read more than Q_TKOFF_ARSP_LIM (in m/s; 0, the default, means no limit), and the aircraft switched to QLAND. In a vertical climb the airspeed is close to the wind speed, so the limit keeps the aircraft from taking off into a wind too strong for its lift motors.
What to do, most likely first
The wind really is stronger than the limit.
CheckThe airspeed reading with the aircraft standing on the ground, nose into the wind.
FixWait for less wind: the limit is there because the lift motors cannot hold position against more.
The airspeed sensor reads high at rest: it was not zeroed, or its tube sits in the propeller wash.
CheckOn the ground, out of the wind, the airspeed should read close to 0.
FixDo the airspeed pre-flight calibration with the tube covered, and mount the tube clear of the propeller wash.
