What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

Українська

Forward throttle in Q modes is switched on for a tailsitter

Stops itPlane: take-off, landing, QuadPlanePlane only

What ArduPilot says:

Q_FWD_THR_USE lets a QuadPlane use its forward motor to move, or to hold against the wind, in Q modes instead of leaning. A tailsitter (it hovers standing on its tail) has no separate forward motor, so with Q_TAILSIT_ENABLE above 0 the check wants Q_FWD_THR_USE at 0 (off).

What to do, most likely first

  1. The parameters were copied from a QuadPlane with a separate forward motor.

    FixSet Q_FWD_THR_USE to 0.

  2. Q_TAILSIT_ENABLE is on, but the aircraft is not a tailsitter.

CheckArduPilot sets Q_TAILSIT_ENABLE to 1 by itself when Q_FRAME_CLASS is 10 or Q_TAILSIT_MOTMX is not 0.

FixSet Q_TAILSIT_ENABLE to 0, correct Q_FRAME_CLASS and Q_TAILSIT_MOTMX, and reboot.
