What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

Lift-motor ESC calibration is running: stabilisation is off

WarningPlane: take-off, landing, QuadPlanePlane only

What ArduPilot says:

Q_ESC_CAL is 1 or 2 and the aircraft was armed in QSTABILIZE. All lift motors now get the same raw throttle, with no stabilisation: with 1 it follows the throttle stick, with 2 it is full throttle at once. This teaches ESCs that use ordinary PWM their throttle range. Q_ESC_CAL goes back to 0 at the next start.

What to do, most likely first

  1. You started the calibration on purpose.

FixProps off before arming. Follow the ESCs' beeps, lower the throttle when they ask for it, disarm, and reboot.

  2. Q_ESC_CAL was left set, and arming in QSTABILIZE started the calibration unexpectedly.

FixDisarm at once and set Q_ESC_CAL to 0. With propellers on, value 2 would run every lift motor at full power.
