The ground station asked for the parachute and Plane refused
What ArduPilot says:
- Parachute already released
- Parachute not enabled
A release command came from the ground station and was not carried out: the parachute has already been released, or it is not enabled (CHUTE_ENABLED is 0, or a switch or command has disabled it). A third refusal has its own message, “Parachute: Too low”: the plane has flown and is now below CHUTE_ALT_MIN.
What to do, most likely first
The parachute was never set up:
CHUTE_ENABLEDis 0.FixSet
CHUTE_ENABLEDto 1, chooseCHUTE_TYPE(10 for a servo), give an output the release function (SERVOn_FUNCTION27) and test the release on the bench.A parachute switch is in its “disabled” position.
FixMove the switch with
RCn_OPTION21 or 23 to “enabled” before the flight. It was already released in this flight.
FixNothing more can be done in the air. After landing repack the parachute and reboot the flight controller.
Parameters to look at
| Parameter | What it is |
|---|---|
CHUTE_ENABLED | Parachute release enabled or disabled |
CHUTE_TYPE | Parachute release mechanism type (relay or servo) |
CHUTE_ALT_MIN | Parachute min altitude in meters above home |
