This mode cannot be paused or resumed
What ArduPilot says:
- Flight Mode Pause failed
- Failed to resume
- Failed to pause
A pause was asked for by the ground station (“Failed to pause”, “Failed to resume”) or by the pause switch, RCn_OPTION 178 (“Flight Mode Pause failed”). Only two modes can pause: Auto, while it is flying to a waypoint it has not yet reached, and Guided. In every other mode, and in Auto during take-off, landing, loiter or circle, the request is refused and the copter carries on as it was.
What to do, most likely first
The copter is in a mode, or a part of the mission, that has no pause.
FixTo stop it where it is, switch to Loiter or Brake; switch back to Auto to continue the mission.
