Two OSDs are set, but only one could start
What ArduPilot says:
- OSD_TYPE2 not compatible with first OSD
OSD_TYPE and OSD_TYPE2 are both set, and at boot only one of the two started. ArduPilot can run an analog OSD chip (type 1, MAX7456) together with one digital OSD (type 3, MSP, or type 5, MSP DisplayPort), but not two of the same kind, and not MSP together with DisplayPort. The same message also appears when the pair is allowed but one of them failed to start, for example a DisplayPort OSD with no serial port.
What to do, most likely first
Only one OSD is fitted, and
OSD_TYPE2was set by mistake.FixSet
OSD_TYPE2to 0 and reboot. The two types cannot run together (3 with 5, or the same type twice).
FixKeep the analog chip as one of the two, or use a single OSD.
One of them did not start: the board has no analog OSD chip, or the DisplayPort OSD has no serial port.
Check“MSP DisplayPort uart not available” among the start-up messages points at the port.
FixGive the digital OSD a port with
SERIALn_PROTOCOL42 (DisplayPort), or remove the type the board cannot do, and reboot.
