The store of obstacles for path planning was not set up
What ArduPilot says:
- DB init failed . Sizes queue:N, db:N
With path planning on (OA_TYPE is not 0) ArduPilot keeps a small store of obstacles seen by proximity sensors: OA_DB_SIZE places (100 by default), fed through a queue of OA_DB_QUEUE_SIZE (80 by default). At start-up the store could not be set up, and the line gives the two sizes as they are set. Path planning then knows nothing of what the sensors see; it still plans around fences.
What to do, most likely first
OA_DB_SIZEorOA_DB_QUEUE_SIZEis 0, which switches the store off.CheckOne of the two sizes in the message is 0.
FixIf the copter has a proximity sensor to avoid obstacles with, set
OA_DB_SIZEto 100 andOA_DB_QUEUE_SIZEto 80 and reboot. With no such sensor the line is harmless. Both sizes are above 0, and the board had no memory for them.
FixLower
OA_DB_SIZE, or free memory by switching off features you do not use, and reboot.
Parameters to look at
| Parameter | What it is |
|---|---|
OA_DB_SIZE | OADatabase maximum number of points |
OA_DB_QUEUE_SIZE | OADatabase queue maximum number of points |
OA_TYPE | Object Avoidance Path Planning algorithm to use |
The code that sends it
