The gimbal driver refused a command
What ArduPilot says:
- Mount: …
A warning from the gimbal driver, sent at most once every 30 s. “invalid angle targets”: a command asked for more than 90° of pitch, 180° of roll or 360° of yaw, which usually means angles sent in hundredths of a degree. “GPS_POINT target invalid”: a point-at-a-place command in the form ArduPilot 4.2 and older accepted, with the coordinates in the wrong fields. The gimbal stays where it was.
What to do, most likely first
The ground station, script or companion computer sends gimbal commands in the wrong units or an old format.
CheckNote what you did just before the warning: a button in the ground station, a mission command, a script.
FixSend angles in degrees and coordinates in the latitude and longitude fields; update the ground station or the script.
The gimbal was told to look at a place before the aircraft knew where it is.
FixWait for a position (a GPS fix and the EKF, ArduPilot's position estimator, ready), or start the gimbal in a mode that needs none:
MNTn_DEFLT_MODE3 (RC targeting).
