What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

Українська

The fence is switched on, but no fence exists

Stops itMissions, fence, rally points, terrain

What ArduPilot says:

FENCE_ENABLE is 1, but FENCE_TYPE selects no fence that exists. FENCE_TYPE is a set of bits: bit 0 (value 1) maximum altitude, bit 1 (value 2) a circle around home, bit 2 (value 4) polygons and circles drawn in the ground station, bit 3 (value 8) minimum altitude. The drawn fences count only when at least one has been uploaded to the aircraft.

What to do, most likely first

  1. FENCE_TYPE is 4 (drawn fences only, which is Plane's default) and no polygon or circle has been uploaded.

CheckRead the fence from the aircraft in the ground station's Plan screen: it comes back empty.

FixDraw an inclusion polygon around the flying area and write it to the aircraft. Or add other types to FENCE_TYPE: 1 for a maximum altitude, 2 for a circle around home.

  2. FENCE_TYPE is 0: no type is selected.

FixChoose the types you want. Copter's default FENCE_TYPE is 7: maximum altitude, circle and drawn fences together.
