The camera did not start or stop recording when the aircraft armed
What ArduPilot says:
- Camera: failed to … recording
CAMn_OPTIONS bit 0 (“record while armed”) tells ArduPilot to start video recording at arming and stop it at disarming. The camera driver answered that it could not: “failed to start recording” at arming, “failed to stop recording” at disarming. The flight is not affected; the video may be missing.
What to do, most likely first
The camera type cannot record video on command: a shutter driven by a servo or a relay only takes pictures.
Check
CAMn_TYPE1 (Servo) and 2 (Relay) have no recording command; 4 (a gimbal camera), 5 and 6 (MAVLink cameras) do.FixClear bit 0 of
CAMn_OPTIONSfor that camera, or connect a camera ArduPilot can command. The gimbal camera refused: no memory card, or the gimbal is not answering.
FixInsert a card and check the gimbal's link (it must not report “Mount: not healthy”).
