What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

Українська

A flight mode was asked for that this firmware does not have

WarningFlight modes

What ArduPilot says:

Something asked for the flight mode with the number shown, and this firmware has no mode with that number: either the number is not a mode at all, or the mode was left out of the build for this board. The aircraft stays in the mode it was in. The log records it as an ERR of subsystem FLIGHT_MODE with the same number.

What to do, most likely first

  1. A position of the mode switch is set to a mode this firmware lacks.

CheckThe message appears when you move the mode switch to one position. Read FLTMODE1 to FLTMODE6 for the number.

FixSet that FLTMODEn to a mode from its list.

  2. The parameters came from another vehicle type, or from a firmware with more modes built in.

CheckThe Firmware Inspector shows what a firmware file was built with.

FixChoose a mode this firmware has, or build a firmware that includes the one you want.

  3. A ground station, a script or a mission asked for it.

FixUpdate the ground station, or correct the script or the mission item that sets the mode.
