What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

Українська

The plane starts without an airspeed sensor

InformationStart-up and what the board reportsPlane only

What ArduPilot says:

At start-up no airspeed sensor is switched on (ARSPD_TYPE is 0). That is a normal way to fly a small plane: ArduPilot then estimates airspeed from GPS speed, wind and throttle, and holds speed with the throttle setting instead of a measurement.

What to do, most likely first

  1. A sensor is fitted but ArduPilot was never told.

FixSet ARSPD_TYPE to your sensor's type and reboot; keep ARSPD_USE at 0 until its readings have been checked in flight.
