The critical battery threshold is not below the low one
The battery failsafe has two steps, low then critical, each with a voltage and a remaining-capacity threshold. When both of a pair are set (not 0), the low one must be the larger: BATT_LOW_VOLT above BATT_CRT_VOLT (“voltage failsafe critical >= low”) and BATT_LOW_MAH above BATT_CRT_MAH (“capacity failsafe critical >= low”). Otherwise the critical step would come first, or both at once.
What to do, most likely first
The two values were swapped, or one was changed for a new battery and the other left.
CheckRead the pair the message names side by side.
FixSet
BATT_CRT_VOLTbelowBATT_LOW_VOLTandBATT_CRT_MAHbelowBATT_LOW_MAH. Equal values fail too.The mAh thresholds were read as “mAh used”: they are the mAh that must be left.
FixMake
BATT_LOW_MAHthe larger reserve (about a fifth of the capacity is a common choice) andBATT_CRT_MAHa smaller one.
Parameters to look at
| Parameter | What it is |
|---|---|
BATT_LOW_VOLT | Low battery voltage |
BATT_CRT_VOLT | Critical battery voltage |
BATT_LOW_MAH | Low battery capacity |
BATT_CRT_MAH | Battery critical capacity |
