What an ArduPilot message means and what to do about it

ANGLE_MAX is outside 10° to 80°

What ArduPilot says:

ANGLE_MAX is the steepest lean the copter may take in flight, in centidegrees: 3000 is 30°, the default. ArduPilot accepts 1000 to 8000 (10° to 80°). Below that the copter could hardly move or fight wind; above it, it could not hold its height.

What to do, most likely first

  1. The value was typed in degrees, 30 or 45, where centidegrees are expected.

    FixMultiply by 100: 3000 for 30°.

  2. The value has a zero too many: 30000 where 3000 was meant.

FixSet ANGLE_MAX to 3000, or to the limit you want between 1000 and 8000.

4.7 has no such message: there the limit lives in another parameter, in degrees.
