“Found transceiver on channel 2” and “Detected … SN:…”: an ADS-B unit answered; the channel is the MAVLink port it is on, counted from 0. “Using ICAO_id … and Callsign …”: the ground station set the identity the transponder broadcasts; it must be the one registered for this aircraft. “RF Mode”: the Sagetech transponder confirmed its transmit mode. “IDENT!” (4.7): the ident function was triggered, which makes the aircraft stand out on a controller's screen; use it only when air traffic control asks.
